How hard is it to remove Windows Vista from a laptop computer ?
I only use my Vista laptop sometimes. I don’t like it very much…way too slow. I have lots of memory (2 GB). The Toshiba laptop is still new, not even one year old. But it sucks. My PC desktops, running Windows XP Pro are much better.
My computer-literate husband hates it too. He wants to sell the laptop and buy a new one, pre-loaded with XP Pro. We don’t really want to do that because we’ll lose money.
Removing Vista from a laptop is a little bit difficult, (unlike off a desktop PC). Laptops that come pre-loaded with the Vista operating system also come loaded with all kinds of Vista drivers for the laptop. Everything from printers, video display (monitor), on-board camera, USB ports…and so on.
Before “killing” a Vista laptop to make way for a new operating system, (like Windows XP), we need to find the various drivers. On this laptop, it’s about 300+ MB. A big job.
And we have to pray that we don’t miss something “important”, or THE LAPTOP WILL ONLY BE GOOD FOR COOKING SATE haha
Wahhh du mbak tuh bahasa inggris lagi yeee
*Coba Linux aja.. hehehe
